Description
Carousels are custom objects (a new feature on monday.com) that can be used within any workspace. These Carousels allow you to combine multiple dashboards, boards, and other embeddable links together in a rotating display that you can cast to any Smart TV.

To get started, read our guide below or follow along with a video. 

How to use

1. First ensure DashBoards is installed inside your monday.com system.

1. Click here to install DashBoards

2. Select the "+ add" option on the left hand side.

3. Find and choose "Apps".

4. Select the "Dashboards Carousel" option under "Installed".
   
   

(TIP: May need to use the scroll wheel to find the app)

1. Choose what you would like to name your DashBoards Carousel.

2. Navigate to the Carousal Settings in the top right corner.

3. Use the "Rotation Interval" box to set how much time you want between the board switches.
   

(NOTICE: The time is in seconds)

1. Use the "Alert Duration" box to set how long you want your notification to be shown.

(NOTICE: Adding in the dashboards (URLS))

1. Next paste your Link/s inside the DashBoard Box's #1 - 3
   

(TIP: If you have more than 3 links, use the "Additional DashBoards" box and separate your links using a comma with no space)

1. Close the settings page and click the "Start" button. Your Carousel will start to rotate between your boards.
   

(IMPORTANT: You must be tabbed into the Carousel for it to rotate. To ensure you are tabbed in, click into the white box where it displays the pause button)

That's it! With these steps, you should be able to effectively install and use the DashBoards Carousel inside of your monday.com system!

Setting your Trigger Notifications

Description

Within your workflows, you can set up notifications and audible alerts based on custom triggers. These can be set to display on specific carousels or other boards for everyone to see and hear.

How to use

1. Navigate to the board where your action will take place that you want to turn into a notification.

2. Click 'Integrate" in the top right hand corner.

3. Choose "+ Add new integration", and search "DashBoards".

4. Select the app when it pops up, find the status integration and click "add to board".
   
   

a. If you want to create a custom trigger rather than a trigger based off a status, you can do this by using automations.

1. You will need to "Authorize" the use of the DashBoards app.

2. Now you can set your trigger by choosing a status column, and a specific status that will trigger the sound and notification. You can use any sound listed and can write anything you desire for the notification.

3. Inside the "[Board View ID]" box, navigate to your Carousel board, at the end of the URL, copy the #ID
   
   

(TIP: This box is what controls where the the notification will go to)

1. Click "add to board"

That's it! With these steps, you should be able to effectively set up and use the DashBoards Carousel trigger notifications inside of your monday.com system!
