Setting Up Automations / Integration's

Accessing the Toolbelt Integrations

To access the CarbonToolbelt Integrations, you'll want to follow the process below:

  1. Navigate to the integration center

  2. Search "CarbonToolbelt"

  3. Select your desired integration set



Setting up the Integrations

Below we'll guide you through how to use the different types of integrations. Each example will be shown inside of the CarbonToolbelt Workshop Template for you to try and test yourself! For a comprehensive list of all integrations, review the CarbonToolbelt Documentation.

**If you are using the Workshop Template you will need to active each integration before testing or the integrations will not run / work.

Column Manipulation

Example: "When column changes write This Text to item name"

  1. Start by selecting the column to use as a trigger

  2. Choose how you want to display the item name

  3. Then trigger the column for the name to change

Result: When Deal Status changes write "{item name} [{State}] to item name

That's it! With these steps, you should have a grasp on how to use the Column Manipulation integrations within your workflow.


Column Requirements

Example: "When status changes, create an update if any of these columns are empty"

  1. Start by selecting a status to use as a trigger

  2. Write out the text for your update

  3. Then choose the columns that you want to check to see if they are empty

Result: When Lead Status changes, create an update(**This item has missing data!) if any of these columns(Person and FollowUp Date) are empty

Date Changes

Example: "When date arrives push date by some days keeping the time"

  1. Start by selecting a date column to use as a trigger

  2. Then choose how many days you want to push the date

Result: "When Payment Date arrives push Reach Out Date by 30 days keeping the time"

Formulas & Calculations

Example: "When this column changes calculate formula and store result in this column"

  1. Start by selecting the column to use as a trigger

  2. Create a formula

  3. Then choose the column you want to see the result in

Result: "When Get Value Amount changes calculate formula (multiply{item's Payment} ,2) and store result in Final Value"

Item Updates

Example: "When column changes create a checklist update with this text"

  1. Start by selecting a column to use as a trigger

  2. Then write out your text for the checklist

Result: "When FollowUp Status changes, create a checklist update with this text(**Check Name / Check Email / Check Location)

People Assignments

Example: "When an update is created assign creator as person"

  1. Start by adding a peoples column to your board or choose a peoples column if you already have one

  2. Create an item update for any item

Result: "When Ryan created an update it assigned him to people"
